1. I'm a liberal and I don't feel marginalized at all.
And I'd question any liberal siding with the Republicans and the health insurance industry in trying to kill HCR.

I have not said to throw away the bill.

9. I stand with Barack Obama and proponents of HCR.
I stand with Howard Dean of 2004, before he became two-faced on the issue.

I stand with all of the people who've been denied coverage from pre-existing conditions, or those who've lost coverage with recission.

I stand against the health insurance companies, the Glenn Becks, the Rush Limbaughs, the Boehners, the Sarah Palins, the John McCains, the GOP, and anybody else who would kill this bill.

10. You seem to be woefully misinformed
the health care industry is breaking out the champagne right now -- mandatory insurance with no public option, an allowable annual cap and no antitrust regulation.

why would the health care and insurance lobbys not like the bill in its current form?

15. The health care industry wants to kill the HCR bill.
That's why they're still lobbying the GOP to stop it.

It's still a defeat for the insurance industry, not as big a defeat as the bill with the public option, but a defeat nonetheless.

Meanwhile, I have trouble believing that you EVER stood with him, in 2004 or since.

51. Sure, voters elected all of them. The point I was trying to make
is since a clear majority of Americans (aka the constituents of these elected officials) want Single Payer, is it not the duty of these elected representatives to enact legislation that reflects the will of the people that elected them? I believe that is the way our Government is supposed to work and you call that "fantasy land"??? No wonder our country is so screwed up.

13. You have no problem with liberal concerns?
How about actually supporting them and defending them?

That seems symptomatic of what has hapopened to the democratic Party. Instead of actyually standing for liberalism, it tolerates them as a necessary evil they must put up with to win elections. The rest of the time? Feh.

24. I think that marginalization comes from the top.
They're trying to squeeze Progressives (60+% of the country) out of the party and redefine it as the DLC's party.

Have any of you ever met someone who supported the DLC outside of Washington? Why would anyone who claimed to be a Democrat choose that route unless they were similarly compromised?
