Remember Alvin Greene - so what happens if Sarah palin...
... wins in 2012 and everyone is just shocked? ... do we let it happen yet again, do we lay down again, like in 2000 and 2004 You know they will do it if they can (steal it), and we know that they can!

1. Greene compared to Palin?
Greene lost. It was a significant loss - Greene received less than a third of South Carolina's votes. But you are right - I think it would be shocking if Sarah Palin did as well as Alvin Greene.

2. Greene won the Dem nom, not the actual election.
Now, how he won the Dem nom is a big, unanswered question. Something not right there. But he lost, as any Dem would have in SC, to DeMint.

On a slight tangent, I can't help but mention that Vincent Sheheen, against Niki Haley (tea party repuke) came within a couple of percentage points of winning the governorship of SC last election. Very strong showing, he won in most counties save the far-right upstate. Dems almost pulled off an upset right here in SC. There is hope.

But comparing Greene to palin? Nah...

6. Greene "won" the nomination.
That whole thing was rigged. It had to be. But, yeah, your right about the odd comparison. Except that they're both batshit crazy to the Nth degree.

That Sarah, Jr. is a piece of work. Even the republican-controlled state legislature is having fits over her bullshit. I'll be surprised if she lasts a full term. It's like having our own Dumbya in drag.
