Garth Brooks on Obama: I Love Him to Death; It's Got to Be Hell In That Office
By Nicholas Ballasy

(CNSNews.com) - Grammy award-winning singer Garth Brooks told CNSNews.com that he "fully" supports President Barack Obama and that it must be "hell" serving as President of the United States.

Before his performance at the Points of Light Institute's ceremony honoring former President George H. W. Bush at the Kennedy Center on Monday, Brooks was asked if President Obama has lived up to his expectations.

Yeah, I think what President Obama is finding out is all that we want to do, the system kind of doesn't allow the most powerful guy in the world to kind of do his job and I'm sure nobody's more frustrated than him to complete those promises that he did and I think he's trying his heart out. I love him to death and I fully support him and I just wish him well because it's got to be hell in that office," said Brooks.

Brooks' comments come as many celebrities who supported President Obama in the 2008 election including Matt Damon and Barbra Streisand have publicly expressed disappointment in President Obama.

Why does Garth Brooks understand what Obama is up against in congress more than most liberals/DUers/bloggers? Garth understands patience and how washington works, and the games that Repubs and DINOs play to undermine Obama....here at DU and many liberal bloggers blame everything on Obama....

11. There's a lot of criminals out on the streets
that have never been brought to trial.

Are they no longer considered a criminal since they haven't been caught and tried?

13. bush sr defenders ?!?
"war criminal? I missed the trial...."

people are defending Bush Sr on this site-saw it in other threads... it's...mind-boggling

How about dumpling depleted Uranium in Gulf Storm? Or, as Seymour Hersh detailed, shooting 100's of unarmed captured prisoners?

We could get into his central american escapades too, not to mention iran contra, torture, etc etc
There are plenty of well-documented books all about him, no need to take my word for it.

3. I'm still glad he said something supportive about Obama.
The President could not be there for the ceremony, and something needed to be said.

I remember how LBJ griped that he had no real power after he became President. He had more power in the Senate.

8. Perish the thought!
He's one of the few country singers I can stand. Add to that how bright and humble the man is, and you've got a decent human being.

6. I'm guessing Brooks has more money than most of us.
Those of us at the bottom are drowning and no matter how much we yell and call attention to ourselves, Obama ignores us.

It must be nice to know where your next meal is coming from.

Or does that only count when they don't agree with what's going on?

15. It does not carry weight. That doesn't mean it is not of interest.
We can think 'that's nice' or 'that is stupid' or whatever thought we have

18. About CNS News...from their website
"Study after study by the Media Research Center, the parent organization of CNSNews.com, clearly demonstrate a liberal bias in many news outlets – bias by commission and bias by omission – that results in a frequent double-standard in editorial decisions on what constitutes "news."
In response to these shortcomings, MRC Chairman L. Brent Bozell III founded CNSNews.com"

So there you go. Got to counter those liberals!
