Rand Paul for President? He's thinking about it
Edited on Sat Mar-26-11 11:20 PM by Armstead
Tonight was listening to Larry Kudlow on the car radio. (Don't ask.)

His guest was Sen. Rand Paul.

He told Kudlow that he is thinking about running for President. He and Kudlow agreed that there are no candidates that are "pro business and pro growth enough" in the field.

Paul said it would depend in part of what Daddy Paul does. But he wants to be part of the political debate and is considering a run for president.

1. ProBusiness--Pro Growth. That is what The Republican Party is
all about:
Deregulation--Get rid of the rules. Permit Business
to use any means necessary to make money.
We have seen what Deregulation does in spades. They finally
removed all regulations affecting the stock market. The
Players gambled our future away and left the country in
a ditch.

So Rand Paul wants us to go down that old road again.

Tax Cuts Tax Cuts until there is not money in the coffers
to provide basic services for the people of this country.
We are seeing this played out before our very eyes.

Get rid of unions. Businesses can pay as much or as little
for their workers. It is much like Cheap Labor to make
Business more competitive.

Get rid of Social Programs. Business should not be hamstrung
paying for Health Care. Put everyone in a high deductible
health insurance plan with as few services offered as possible.
If people had to pay for all these services they would think
twice about using Health Dervices.

When Kudlow talks Pro-Growth he means favor Business and
throw the American people under the bus.

2. I thinbk Big Bidness is terrified of losing some of massive power they gained over the last 30 year
So they have gone into hyperdrive in their attacks on even moderate regulation and accountability

3. After being sure nobody would actually vote for Ronald Reagan OR W, I can't even guess.
I would have bet everything I owned that the American people were too smart to elect (or have selected for them) either of those two corrupt bozos.

5. Question ... if an alleged "Muslim"/Kenyan is not a valid candidate, according to Repugs ...
then why would someone who is so enamored of an ATHEIST that he renamed himself in her honor be a viable candidate? Oh, it's a Republican ... sorry, my brain was functioning there for a minute ...

7. No half measures - I want to see a Ron Paul/Rand Paul ticket
I don't see any constitutional reason why they can't run together. And having Rand as a running mate would make Ron look almost sane.

I still don't understand how he got elected to the senate in the first place.
