air time the new Quinnipiac poll got today. Somehow I doubt it.

WASHINGTON – For all the talk of recovery, Americans are growing increasingly pessimistic about the economy as soaring gas costs strain already-tight budgets. But so far, people aren't taking it out on President Barack Obama, a new Associated Press-GfK poll shows.

more at link.

EDIT: I can't decide if it's hilarious or sad that there are people unrecommending this post. Maybe both.

3. The unreccing of this post? A bit of hypocrisy from
those, I suspect, who are the same ones saying that people are in denial about the so-called harsh or ugly (negative) truth about the President.

They don't want to hear that the majority of the nation doesn't share their low opinion.

shooting up. I emailed him about mentioning the Gallup poll yesterday. He often emails me back, agreeing with me that it SHOULD be mentioned. I almost always tell him that Scarborough only shows the Gallup poll when Obama's approval is down, and never when it's up. He said he'd pass the message to Scarborough, saying, "Live by the Gallup Tracking Poll, die by the Gallup Tracking poll." But Joe isn't here this week. I don't take credit for him mentioning the Gallup poll tonight since he didn't write back this time, but maybe I kinda do. :)

5. Gallup has Obama at 49%...
But I doubt it'll get the same coverage. First story I saw on Yahoo today was how Obama's approval was at its worst level yet.

10. This approval rating in this poll is unchanged from January.
That is the context you should look at a poll like this in.

Comparing the top line numbers to other organizations can be apples to oranges.
