22. Yep
When mindless lemmings like the poster above post I already know what kind of lies and spin they plan to spew. Hell anyone who gladly flaunts pictures of Arne Duncan and Obama and their plot to crush Teacher's Unions and move to Charter Schools rather than really attempt to fund and fix public schools is purposely trying to post here to slap all the progressives (not to mention the large amount of educators) on this board in the face with their every insulting post.

I just wish he and the others would go back to the land of astroturf from which they came.

4. West does not use those words in the clip. Still,
could you imagine what people would be saying about the President if he had left it to House Republicans to pass unemployment benefits?

They'd have had it to hold hostage to their current crazy proposal.

The video is of Cornel West making the same point he's been making for a couple of years.

5. It finally happened. Cornel's brain has finally started to match his hair. Wild & fucked up.
You can't bitch about the lack of jobs in the black community, and smack the president around every time he meets with the people who can actually do something about it. It makes absolutely no sense at all. How do you create jobs, if the corporations who provide said jobs, aren't included in the debate?

Cornel has lost it, and thank goodness I'm not the only one who's noticed. West is all rhethoric & bluster. He can afford to sling shit, since he doesn't have to create a single job, only bitch about the lack of them.

16. Like Obama is going to convince GE to stop offshoring?
Edited on Fri Apr-01-11 09:11 PM by Armstead
I....don't....think....so.

Maybe GE will make a token tax-deductable contribution for some educational center to prepare minority young people for non-existant jobs or something.

But not much else.

There are some great populist liberal/progressiveDems in Congress (and Sen. Bernie)but they keep getting kneecapped by Obama and the corporate conservaDems.

12. Yep. That's why he signed that bill that gave millions of unemployed Americans
another year's worth of UI.

That's why he went to ground EVERY SINGLE FUCKING TIME for unemployed people against the Senate filibuster on UI extensions.

Because he hates unemployed people. Yup.

That must be it.

Jesus fucking Christ.
