Anyone have a RECENT and CREDIBLE source on the use of reconciliation? |
|
Edited on Wed Dec-16-09 04:37 PM by uponit7771
I'd have more patience (which it sounds like we don't have a choice but to) if I knew what the WH and Reids latest stance on reconciliation for cost control was...
The non budgetary regulations can be passed via joint house committee then cost control (medicare for everyone for instance) can be passed via reconciliation.
any RECENT links and quotes?
TIA

1. Yes, Lawence O'Donnell explained it all on Countdown. I don't have a link. |
|
He was the Senate Chief of Staff. He knows and predicted months ago that they wouldn't use reconciliation because they can't without losing the non-budgetary parts of the bill.

5. Peter Orzag and Obama both insisted it be part of the budget |
|
They wouldn't have done so unless they knew they could get something useful out of it.
