Quinnipiac Poll: Obama Approval Sinks
http://blogs.wsj.com/washwire/2011/03/30/quinnipiac-poll-obama-approval-sinks/

By Patrick O'Connor

The latest Quinnipiac University poll gives President Barack Obama the lowest approval ratings of his presidency, with a majority of Americans saying he does not deserve another term in the White House.

As Mr. Obama gears up for re-election, 48% of American voters disapprove of the job he’s doing while 42% approve of it. The numbers are even worse when it comes to whether he deserves another four-year term in the White House, with 50% saying “no” and 41% saying “yes.”

Both sets of numbers show a steady decline from a Quinnipiac poll on March 3, when his approval ratings split evenly, 46%-46%. This recent batch of polling comes as gas prices are on the rise, unemployment continues to hover around 9% and the U.S. military has intervened in Libya to prevent Col. Moammar Gadhafi from attacking his own people.

2. I hope everyone understands what's at stake
If no substantial Democratic primary challenger emerges, Obama is going to need all the help he can get - and so will all of the other Democratic candidates on the ballot. A Congress controlled by teabaggers is unacceptable.

9. This is an old poll, taken from March 22-28th. It's also the only poll the media is showing us,
including CNN's Candy Crowley on State of the Union this morning. Funny how nobody in the media mentions the latest AP poll that has Obama at 53%.

11. Like every other poll on earth recently has said the exact opposite
but I'm glad we get to see this outlier every day on DU to remind us that we're supposed to hate him.

14. Unrec for old news. I understand that some would love for this poll..
to be "the poll of all polls", but it isn't. There are others, taken after this, that show is approval going up, but this one doesn't jive with any others. Sorry.
