2. The ONLY way a bill would be passed this year would be if the House accepted the Senate's version
with absolutely NO changes. So, she is obviously right (if she did say it).

5. I hope so...

Look, why not just say, "This thing doesn't cut it. America, if you want it, then you are going to have to make some changes in your Congressional representation."

That's the honest thing to do. It is the democratic thing to do. It is how our system is supposed to work.

Instead of a warmed-over not even half-measure, tell America that if you want it, then you are going to have to vote for representatives that will deliver - and leave it there.

7. No has expected a final bill this year for quite some time.....
.... when you hear talk of a "bill by Christmas" on the news now, they're talking about a SENATE bill.

The current goal (heh) is the end of January for a bill to the President's desk.

a whole lot of major ass-chewing anger back home about what the people actually want in HCR
and what they do not. And a host of other major issues. A`few, like Rep. Capuano, are apparently
starting to feel the weather. I hope a lot more of them get mobbed, when they go home, with the same message:

12. She says by the State of the Union address--and is back tracking on the Public option!

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/us_health_care_overhaul

...........Sanders later said he was not yet ready to say he would vote for the legislation Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is drafting. Democrats are counting on him as one of the 60 votes they need, and have not betrayed any nervousness in recent days about his intentions.

The House already has approved its version of the health care bill, and Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said Wednesday she was confident a final compromise would be signed into law before Obama's 2010 State of the Union address.

She signaled a willingness to look at the proposal in the Senate bill that takes the place of government-run insurance in the House bill.

Asked whether she could support a final bill without a so-called public option, she said, "it depends what else is in the bill."
