A. The President of the United States should not be involved in a State Supreme Court race. B. If this had become "Prosser vs. Obama", the outcome would have likely been very bad - not a knock against the President, but not only would it have galvanised the teabaggers, but it would have likely angered independents and undecided voters who may have seen this as an unwarranted intrusion.

This race was about Wisconsin and the results are huge. The Republicans lost huge.
