Trump has become so dead set on this issue that on Monday he released a copy of his own birth certificate to Newsmax, conservative website. It shows that Donald John Trump was born at Jamaica Hospital in New York June 14, 1946, at 10:54 a.m.

(It now appears that Trump did not release an official copy of his own birth certificate today but rather a "hospital certificate of birth." Official birth certificates are issued by the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. The document that Trump released to the media today was provided by Jamaica Hospital.)
