"We have agreed to an historic amount of cuts for the remainder of this fiscal year, as well as a short-term bridge that will give us time to avoid a shutdown while we get that agreement through both houses and to the President. We will cut $78.5 billion below the President’s 2011 budget proposal, and we have reached an agreement on the policy riders. In the meantime, we will pass a short-term resolution to keep the government running through Thursday. That short-term bridge will cut the first $2 billion of the total savings."

1. Yes, Republicans got $78.5 billion.
Also recall that in December they got $70 billion/yr for their rich buddies in tax cuts.

4. But, but. We won right?
I mean our tough guy really smeared 'em. They get a measly 78 billion and we get some planned parenthood centers. Never mind that that rider will be put on every piece of legislation for the next two years. We'll just ignore that and pretend that the republicans didn't get every damn thing they wanted, that we got nothing. That way we can have a big party and celebrate.

Sheesh. Are Democratic voters pathetic or what?

11. Okay. But you have to admit that it is pathetic
the way most DV's get their hopes up and their dreams set only to be abused again and again. We still think they are going to be good this time. I mean, if we didn't, then we would have to be miserable all the time because we'd be expecting to get kicked in the teeth.

8. Curious: Why not Abolish the Senate and the WH cuz it seems the House has ALL Control.
Seeing as how the GOP are continually getting anything since January why is the point of having the Senate and the WH? They always give them waht they want.

13. Go figure. When we had a majority of both we still couldn't do anything.
It's the do-nothings vs. the know-nothings.
