If memory serves Dems are supposed to have an 8-10% edge in the generic ballot polling question just to stay in the same place. (We don't vote as regularly and we have a lot of very condensed Dem districts.)

Maybe as the south got more concentrated red that shifted some, but it used to be a political rule of thumb.

Anyway, watching Ed Shultz going through the new NBC poll. 43 Dem 41 Pug 16 Undecided.

So not great.

Obama at 46-44... something like that.

Worst poll number. Do you have a positive or negative view of the Teabag movement? 43-positive 23-negative lots of undecided.

Or is that actually the BEST poll number? Hmmmm.... A breakaway tea-bag party would be a great help to us right about now.
