You need to let Republicans and their big business supporters know you may move $$ out of stocks.. |
|
because it is at risk when the Republicans threaten to defeat the raising of the debt ceiling.
i'm strongly thinking of slowly moving the stock portion of my retirement into less volatile investments and out of the market until this settles out.
the risk doesn't just increase at the point of default, but when the threat of default increases.
i don't want to do this, but each day they threaten the economy in this way, the prudent investor must consider it.
and i am. you may also.

1. Problem is -- they know as well as I do that I have no spare money for stocks right now... |

Hard to bluff on a busted flush when the other guy can see the rest of the deck, right?

2. Enough of us do have retirement and other accounts so that we don't have to bluff |
|
I wish everyone did but if those of us that do told them what we're thinking, it may have an effect.

FDIC insured. It helps when you are nearing retirement age.
