Extra Bonus Quote of the Day

"Any discussion of his birthplace is a code word. It calls upon ancient racial fears."

-- Jesse Jackson, in an interview with Politico, on questioning President Obama's citizenship.

Jackson added that this "is the most personal attacks on any president ever. Whose personal religion has ever been challenged before? That has strong racial overtones."

4. Franklin Graham was on there last night saying Obama thinks going to church makes him a Christian.
I couldn't believe it! Such intemperate remarks for a supposedly religious man.

5. JFK's Catholicism was attacked -- Jesse Jackson's old enough to remember that.
Edited on Tue Apr-26-11 11:07 PM by pnwmom
That's why JFK had to go on TV and proclaim that it wouldn't influence him.

However, I do think the birther controversy IS about racism.

7. It is another way to deligitimize this Presidency.... everyone remember this line?

"He is not one of us." To me, that was the worst comment, and it is definitely racist.
