This short speech today was EXCELLENT. Just EXCELLENT. It spoke directly to MIDDLE AMERICA and once again Obama comes out looking like the adult in the room. He slapped down Bad Hair Goofball Man, the GOBirthers, and the ridiculous Corporate MSM as just that: ridiculous. This short speech will play perfectly with the liberals and moderate indies who want serious people to solve our serious problems. He put them all to SHAME, set the tone and context just right, and made them look like fools. Excellent.

President Obama told talk show host Oprah Winfrey Wednesday that he was never worried about "birther" challenges to his citizenship because he recalled being born in Hawaii.

"When it first came up were you thinking, 'I hope I was born here?'" asked Winfrey.

With his wife at his side, Mr. Obama, grinning, responded, "Can I just say? I was there, so I knew that -- I knew I had been born. I remembered it."
