1. S. Power makes me sick
I, too, have studied history. I agree with my Muslim friends who say that colonialist Western interventions have been at the root of trouble in the Middle East and Africa.

'We' have deprived cultures and peoples the basic right of self-determination.

4. So why does Samantha Powers make you sick?
She's hardly pro-colonialism. She was deeply opposed to the Iraq War. She wants interventions to protect human rights.

5. If Bush were CiC I'd be disgusted too
Powers, like Condaleeza Rice, puts a feminine face on []imperialist policies.

I believe in peoples having self determination, not extermination. Up until Gaddafi started talking about nationalising oil and using another currency besides the dollar, we didn't hear about his big human rights abuses. Muslim /Arab friends have told me Libya was fairly well developed and Gaddafi did not do what they are accusing him of.

I believe people who have lived in or worked in North African countries more than I put credence in CIA generated propaganda, such as Powers statement that Gaddfi's military were being issued Viagra to make them better rapists.

I'm fortunate to know Muslims who are informed.

3. Lol. How about: "Hard decisions, different opinions"
That kinda sums up the article.
