Why didn't Obama bring up how this Congress is on pace to be the most useless in history while
answering Boehner's question at the Twitter Town Hall? It's things like this where I lose it. I just can't take this man being polite to these assholes. It's so annoying.

1. lol, he's fucked no matter what. he lashes at them, he's an angry black man. if he's polite, he
should be kicking their ass.

and if he was somewhere in the middle of kickin their ass and being polite, his actions would be too centrist.

that's how it goes.

5. So true ...
So many here refuse to recognize the racial reality of America. If President Obama is to achieve anything, he must walk a very fine line ... and is likely to upset those supposedly on his team the most; not because he hasn't/isn't accomplishing things, but because he is not accomplish things in the order or manner that his "supporter" wish.

But he/we knew that going in AND he has the courage/conviction to continue.

8. Fine. Obama can be the public nice guy
The problem I have is that he makes everyone in his administration adhere to the same wimpy code. NOBODY defends or attacks or inflicts righteous retribution upon Rethuglicans.

He is a weak capitulator. I don't care what color he is. Instead of modeling himself after Uncle Tom, he should've modeled himself after Harold Washington: Chicago's first and only black mayor! Now that man new how to play hardball!

2. 'Bernie,' like it or not he's got to negotiate with the damn repugs,
Edited on Wed Jul-06-11 07:20 PM by elleng
at least for the next couple weeks. Getting into his/their face NOW not the right time. Gotta hold his shots until he can see the whites of their eyes, imo. Tactics.

LATER, 'Where are the jobs?' Provide a list of the legislation presented by the repugs this Congress. 'Any jobs bills here? NADA!'

7. Bully Pulpit! Bully Pulpit!
And he SHOULD get angry! (Hey, do you really think this mild-mannered approach is gonna get the GOP cowering in their rat-holes? Or get the Prez reelected?)

3. Because until action is taken either way about the debt ceiling,
don't antagonize them.

The R's are a bunch of nutty terrorists willing to hold the well-being of the USA hostage to protect tax cuts.

They have a limited amount of time to prove their strings aren't being pulled by Teabaggers. If they are willing to let that deadline pass with no move toward a sane, reasonable deal, then I suspect the President will have something to say about that.
