Since when is the WASHINGTON POST a trusted source for news?
Edited on Thu Jul-07-11 02:07 AM by UrbScotty
They're the ones coming out with this 'report' that Obama is willing to cut Medicare and SS.

I remember a time not too long ago when most DUers despised the Post's rightward slant.

2. Since it appeals to those who want to believe the worst case scenario.
Look at all the nasty invective directed at the President for something he hasn't even done.

3. I remember a time longer ago when the Post used to have
a definite LEFTward slant! :7

They're still not the Times, but some of their articles make you wonder...

4. If Fox News can be fair and balanced then WaPo can be trusted news
Although I've never considered WaPo to be very rightward.
WaTimes yes.
WaPo just has lazy, crappy journalists who engage in intellectual malpractice

7. Which is why I think when we provide the media source
that we also include the writer of the article. Some in my opinion are not qualified to write about specific topics or don't mind that the facts may be wrong.

11. In all fairness, the WaPo article doesn't say Obama is offering to CUT Social Security.
It talks about major changes and dealing with rising costs. That could perfectly well mean that he's poposing raising the cap on SS taxable income. Of course the Paranoid Platoon is determined to believe the worst.

12. Who or what is a trusted source?
I am really curious as to who DUers trust.
I tend to trust Amy Goodman, Olbermann and a few others. But these folks are on but once a day.

17. Washington Post is 100% Neo-Con. That makes them Big Oil, which makes them Tea Party.
