We should wait and see what the proposal is to reduce the deficit |

If the debt ceiling is not raised spending will have to be reduced by 40% and this includes Social Security and Medicare. Unfortunately, some people who are supportive of the progressive cause decided not to vote in 2010 and as a result Obama has to negotiate with people who are not rational in order to prevent the government from defaulting on it's obligations. We will see what the proposal is and this talk about not supporting Obama in 2012 is not constructive. These terrorists as I call them will do much worse if they have total control of the government.

1. No, whether or not the debt ceiling is increased, the U.S. will need to pay its debts. |
|
It is constitutionally mandated to do so.
And it's time to follow an old precept: no negotiations with terrorists.

2. No, we should jump all over their asses and threaten them with ejection from office. |
|
That's what we should do.
