Putting Social Security and Medicare on the table is a great idea.
Some of us want to fix the prescription drug plan and let Social Security buy drugs in bulk like the Veterans Administration does. Republicans just love social security paying full price to their drug company backers. How many commercials do we see that say ask your doctor about this drug or that drug?, maybe it is time we let the doctor tell us what we need, not ask for every new drug that comes around?.
Maybe not everyone who applies for a power chair really needs one.
How about making everyone pay into social security all year long instead of cutting off payments after 106,000 dollars for the rich?
The only way changes like these can be made is if it is on the table.
I say lets give our President the benefit of the doubt and not jump to conclusions that he wants to hurt seniors in any way.

2. Does medicare pay for dentures?
A few family members are having serious issues with getting Dentures with their medicare. I'd like that fixed myself. In order for people to eat they need dentures and good dental care. And sometimes people lose their insurance after retirement and/or can't pay for their insurance.

5. Adding Benefits is not up for discussion. Cutting is the only
thing being discussed.

As for the drugs being bought in bulk, the GOP has
blocked this over and over. This would cut the
Drug Companies. Good Luck.

3. You don't know how bad I WANT to give him the benefit of the doubt
But I'm a really old guy and I've been giving him the benefit of the doubt for almost 3 years. I don't know how much longer I've got.

I'd like to see just one indication that he really gives a shit about people like me but I'm getting discouraged.

4. A bizarre fantasy on your part
Obama has said nothing about the proposed changes you're dreaming about. And 2.5 years of broken promises means that no one on the planet should give Obama the benefit of the doubt on anything.

6. Social Security doesn't buy drugs, medicre buys drugs.
You might want to straighten that out.

The President should get no benefit of the doubt for putting social security benefits on the table.
