Hey, People, don't be too pessimistic about cuts in SS and Medicare yet. .
Nancy Pelosi will not support raising the debt ceiling, if it's at the expense of
making cuts in Medicare and Social security, and John Boehner needs Democratic
support in order to get his bill passed in Congress.

Well, I'm somewhat surprised and very glad about Pelosi's tough stand.

2. That's why I'm somewhat surprised. Have been angry at her for a long
time for having put impeachment off the table.

3. Talk is cheap. I'll believe it when she actually DOES something.
And I'm not holding my breath.

5. Come to think of it, her own job may very well be on the line, if she did allow
cuts in Medicare and SS to be made. So, there is a chance that she will stick by her word -- unless
she intends to retire anyway.
