The Barack Obama Facebook Wall is Says it All!
I just went over to the Barack Obama Facebook page and it was buzzing! Read the wall comments in the first posting. 90% indicate are opposed to the changes in SS, Medicare, etc. and most of them indicate they will no longer support the president if he gives them up. He seems to have really hit a nerve.

Look at: www.facebook.com/barackobama

1. 'The' changes in SS, Medicare? Which 'changes' exactly?

Doom/Gloom REALLY premature.

Listen to Howard Dean on Lawrence show. Benefits not cut, method of paying for them changes.

4. I heard someone (my mind is mush - all I've been watching/
hearing about for days) say something about prescription drugs, for example.

Listening to Pelosi today, I'm thinking the key word is "benefits". If we can save $$$ on negotiating better drug prices, etc., I'm all for it and we should have done long ago.

It's the benefits we have to make sure they don't touch.

Also, Jarod Bernstein was on earlier and he said that what he's really worried about is Medicaid -- nobody seems to be paying attention to that.

6. Yeah, I heard that, and that at this point, he's pretty pleased
with what Obama is doing. Just shows me again I don't understand all that's going on! Hearing Dean say that mollified me somewhat. :7 He's one of the ones I really trust.

13. yeah but everyone else around here seems to be ignoring
that and continuing on with the doom and gloom predictions. I think they just like the attention.

12. No, the hosting a meeting was just a place for people to sound off
If you open that discussion you will see 2,020 comments, most all about SS, Medicare, etc. Little about the meeting.
