He's pursuing an imaginary middle since he got elected. He got elected by presenting himself to the left of Hillary and a 50 state strategy. Now, he positions himself to the right of Reagan?!?!
He's not smart. He's not a genius. He's politically suicidal.

20. Well, he was to the left of her on like three issues. |
|
No mandates and renegotiating NAFTA come immediately to mind, since those are what got him my vote over her in the primary.
Of course he was lying through his teeth about them, but he was to the left of her. Right up until he won the primary.

Independents will not vote in large numbers for any of them.
Obama will be re-elected easily.

Republican relatives said once Palin was picked for the VP slot they would rather write Mickey Mouse in then vote for that ticket, kind of sealed the deal for Obama, especially coming after Bush.

Congress, then. Maybe he can sabotage Democrats enough that the GOP will have veto proof majorities and he won't have to do anything for his remaining term, except give pretty speeches about how he wishes he could fight, but can't.

13. If Romney can get the nomination (and he's on course to win NH), Romney will easily win the General. |
|
What states can Obama cede to the Republicans and still put together a winning set of Electoral votes? Here in New Hampshire (a state he won in 2008), he's well on his way to becoming toast.

24. Well if you don't want Obama to outright *LOSE* the NH Primary, you've got about 5 months. |
|
You're lucky the Republicans are likely to have a real race because if they weren't, they'd all re-register as "undeclareds" and and then vote in our Primary to ensure that Obama lost. And losing the NH Primary would probably just about finish him off for '012.
And if Romney is still far ahead in NH come January, you may still see some of that happening.

I'm sure those progressives are really starting up their campaign for another Democratic candidate. in fact, who is he/she? They've only got 5 months.

26. You don't get it, do you? |
|
Here in New Hampshire, "undeclared" voters can choose, on the day of the election, to vote in any party's primary. They can then immediately return to "undeclared" status.
What this means is that here in New Hampshire, you get a lot of actual Republican general election voters voting in the Democratic Primary just to "monkey wrench" the outcome. Why do you think the winner of the NH Primary is so often one of the worst possible choices for our Party in the long run?
What this means in 2012 is that if there is a large turnout of "undeclared" voters into the Democratic Primary, Obama could very well fail to gain a majority in the NH Primary, even if the loss comes at the hands of a flock of lesser candidates. This would be a won- derful outcome for the Republicans and would probably finish Obama's chances in the General Election.
So don't blame the Progressives for your candidate's fuck-ups, both those in the recent past and those yet to come.

is STILL worth two in the bush.
If he'd focus on his likely voters, he'd have plenty of people to go out on his behalf and talk their independent friends into voting for him this time.
