My darned work schedule got in the way of listening to the press conference, and I can't find a full transcript online, just "highlights" at whitehouse.gov. I was told the following - are they true?
1. One of the first things Obama spoke of the need to cut not slash "strengthen" Social Security, although he again said it had nothing to do with the debt? Did he say why he always discusses Social Security whenever he talks about the importance of belt-tightening?
2. Obama admitted he had proposed 80 cents in cuts for each 20 cents in additional revenue, but the Republicans won't even negotiate when he started at 80% of their own position?
If anyone knows of a transcript online, that would be helpful.

Medicare, Social Security, and Medicaid. Paragraph three!
Don't see 80/20 taxes to revenues - looks like the reporter says 75/25, but Obama doesn't confirm or deny.
