Wish he had a regular job at MSNBC..a daily spot! He may not be interested in it, but I sure would like to see him every day.

17. Sharpton is good.
But with a daily dose you would OD. That much fire needs space between exposure.

:hippie:

19. Oh I'll tell you.
Al had a he had of the Tea Party Nation on his show. He called the guy out by saying that he should realize that Tea Party people are going against the American people. That 61% of the American people (based on a Reuters) poll say they want to tax the rich and spending cuts. However only 27% agree with the Tea Party guy that only spending cuts should be on the table. The guy sat there and said oh MSNBC and their polls warping the story. Then Sharpton was like, for clarity that was a Reuters poll---what do you say then. Guy went a bit nutty at that point ranting and raving---that it's scewed message and the American people will know the truth. When asked who should take over---leadership of the House under Republicans he names people like McConnell, Rand Paul, Paul Ryan, and Bachmann.

16. I loved when he went off script to rant.
He is doing an excellent job and I wish MSNBC would give him the 6:00 spot permanently. I like him much better than Cenk. Or...give Sharpton the 5:00 or 7:00 spot. We sure don't need Tweety and Tweety repeat. Once is enough.

23. Rev Al
made me laugh the other day when he was talking about the Republicans negotiating with the Democrats over the debt ceiling increase. He said something along the lines of it was like a chicken haggling with a pig over how to best make a ham and egg sandwich. "You drop a leg and I'll drop an egg. Shared sacrifice!"

He's got some decent zingers. I remember when he was talking about the Tea Party. He was like, "Take the county back? Yeah, they want to take the country back. Back to before 1964."
