GOP Reps: Obama "clueless," "liar," $4 trillion plan "nickels and dimes"
Edited on Tue Jul-12-11 10:50 PM by high density
WASHINGTON — If President Obama thought he could rattle House Republicans with his warning on Tuesday that Social Security checks might get held up in the event the debt limit was not raised soon, he was mistaken.

“That’s not leadership; that is sad and pathetic,” said Representative Allen West, a freshman Republican representing thousands of Social Security recipients in South Florida. He said the president and the Treasury secretary could pay pressing federal obligations out of money still coming in, and if they say they cannot, “Then they are liars.”
...
Mr. Walsh said he considered the implications of the nation’s $14.3 trillion debt to be much more serious than any fallout from failing to increase the federal debt limit by a Treasury Department deadline.

“As far as I am concerned, the president is clueless,” Mr. Walsh said. “He has no idea how severe this debt crisis is. We have a $14 trillion debt and the economy is teetering and he gets in here and is talking about nickels and dimes. They are not serious.”

How can idiots like these guys talk as if it's possible for Obama to cherry pick what expenses will get paid and what ones won't? Do they really want him doing that?

6. I assume every RW meme I see now will be getting an assist from the segment on the left that hates
Obama as much as the Teabaggers - kind of a Teabagger & Firebagger tag team that is so common now.

2. Just call him 'uppity' and get it over with.
Why dance around how they feel?

Don't they want to impress their base?
