Christofascist candidates will make government bigger than you can possibly imagine
"If members of the Tea Party are truly sincere about less intrusive government, they'd be wise to take a good, hard look at the candidates they are supporting. Currently, Michele Bachmann is placing 1st in polling for the Iowa Caucus. Yes, Bachmann may support low taxes, small government, and states' rights. But when it comes to regulating your personal rights, she suddenly becomes an unwavering supporter for intrusive, far reaching government policies.

Like a wolf in sheep's clothing, many of these Tea Party candidates appear to be unthreatening, at least on the surface. However, deep inside of them (particularly Santorum and Bachmann) lurk Orwellian theocrats who so desperately want to impose their "fire and brimstone" brand of Christianity on a diverse population. If small-government voters choose to overlook this fact, they may very well be longing for the days of Obama in 2013. "

1. Small-government voters have no reason to be concerned
Changing laws so as to enforce xian standards doesn't cost a lot, and all the makings of a police state to enforce these laws are already in place and budgeted for.

Cut any major social program further and they can easily cover any incremental cost with no major impact on the cost or size of government.

2. Honestly, I don't know who's worse
Santorum or Bachmann. I guess Bachmann, since she has a larger base of support.

3. The worst human atrocities have been a result of dehumanization
fostered and enabled by cruel and punishing ideals. Dismantling social programs while pouring money into the military and police is a result of their philosophy that human beings are inherently evil and guilty.

Dominionism masquerades as some kind of libertarian form of freedom, but it's a social disease that sells Armageddon as a cover for their scorched Earth policies. They just enable one group of people to dominate another, simply for saying the right magic words.

It is the biggest con game going, and it is frightening how effective they are!

There is talk about massive demonstrations. I just want to say that showing up in massive numbers is good for MORALE, because solidarity strengthens a sense of community and reminds us of how many sane and wonderful people there are in the world. We can get out and meet each other peacefully, and reinfore OUR ideals of unconditional love and creativity and compassion for each other. I really hope this happens soon so we can build our platform for 2012, and show how serious we are to our representatives--and defeat the tea party once and for all by confronting the corporations that artificially created the phenomena.

Peace.

4. Easy to imagine them wanting 'religious police'

I'm a christian (believer in the teachings of Jesus Christ). The fascists have an idea of christianity which is far removed from the teachings of the rabbi.
