— Margaret Poloma, a practicing Pentecostal and professor of sociology at the University of Akron, on a movement of radical Christians and self-proclaimed prophets who may throw political support behind someone like Texas Gov. Rick Perry.

Rick Perry's Army of God

A little-known movement of radical Christians and self-proclaimed prophets wants to infiltrate government, and Rick Perry might be their man.

On September 28, 2009, at 1:40 p.m., God’s messengers visited Rick Perry.

On this day, the Lord’s messengers arrived in the form of two Texas pastors, Tom Schlueter of Arlington and Bob Long of San Marcos, who called on Perry in the governor’s office inside the state Capitol. Schlueter and Long both oversee small congregations, but they are more than just pastors. 1. In my opinion, they make a mockery of God and any kind of Christian teaching
You cannot live your life for Greed and blatant dishonesty and have any kind of merit with Jesus and his teachings.

2. Jesus said go sell all that you have and give it to the poor.
Then follow me.

And they (Repubs??) all went away sorrowful, for they had great riches.

I wish these fools would actually take the time to READ the New Testament. I hear it's been translated into English for several years now.
