5. I love this pic. Look closely.
The First Lady is rocking a glass of wine behind her.
The First Lady and Malia are barefoot.
I'm thinking Sasha is too.

The President however.
I don't think so.

Great Picture!

7. I see a beer mug behind Michelle
Looks like a handle on a beer stein and amber colored brew - not that there's anything wrong with that.

9. It could be apple juice in the mug.
Probably the same thing Malia and Sasha are drinking.

14. Nothing wrong with beer!
Edited on Sun Jul-17-11 04:55 PM by Mimosa
Apple juice is far less nutritious than beer. It's mainly sugar. Did you know the FDA won't allow brewers to put nutritional info on beer (as brewers once asked to) because beer is too nutritious and they feared people might justify drinking it?

Remember how rightwingers liked to post a photo of a man wading through Katrina floodwaters carring a bin of beers? I used to post back and remind the idiots that the water was toxic and undrinkable but beers served two purposes. It's hydrating as well as nutritious, being full of B vitamins and even some protein.

16. Yep, nothing wrong with beer
Wasn't it Franklin who said "Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy"?

24. I dunno - ask my mother
She once not so long ago poured me a beer mug full of apple juice, maybe because that was one of the containers she could reach easily. I'd rather have had a beer.

As far as I know the fashion and culture police have not yet restricted the use of certain dishes to certain foods: one of the features of old-fashioned root beer stands was that you got your root beer in a heavy frosty glass mug. It just wasn't the same when they went to plastic.

8. Padded bench instead of table is stupid.
The huge 'ottoman' type thing pretending to be a table was obviously chosen by a designer. If I were Michelle, I'd get rid of that stupid padded bench in a heartbeat.

10. And then where is Obama going to put his feet when he's in there alone watching TV?
Edited on Sun Jul-17-11 04:47 PM by Tx4obama

Edited to add:
Or it might have just been brought in there from a different room just for the game.
It doesn't match the other furniture, so it might not be a permanent piece.

20. So FLOTUS is 5'11", Malia has to be about 5'9" and just turned 13.
Did she hit her growth spurt early or does she have a few more inches to go?

:o

When did she get so tall? I think she takes after her Dad, but both parents are quite tall. This is such a great pic, obviously a close family. :)

27. check out Malia's and Michelle's shoes!
LOL! I wonder if they did that deliberately. It's cute. Michelle's shoes are the color of Malia's dress, and vice versa!

Yes, they are a beautiful family. :)

don't get me wrong ... i love photos of the first family because they look so beautiful together.

But who watches a game with their heads turned 60 degrees the whole time? The daughters' chairs should be facing the tv.
