Elizabeth Warren Is A Massive President Obama supporter.
It just goes to show that while so many "progressives" or Dem/liberals netizens bash him. She seems to be in line with the President and clearly outlined to the American people on Rachel's show that the President cares. The President wants to help. The President is being blocked by Repubs and Teabaggers. They are the ones who are holding the nation hostage and helping along retarded growth. Not the President and never him. Apparently every legislation, all the funding for the organization Obama created and put Elizabeth Warren at the head---Republicans and Teabaggers have haulted, stalled, or made a concerted effort to outright destroy.

We need to see who the enemy is and it's not each other. It's Teabaggers AND Congressional Republicans----why do I state them both. Because they are not the same. I think we have to say they are absolutely NOT the same!

3. I saw her on Rachel Maddow, too. She was adament in her support for the President
and credits him for being focused and determined to create the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

She also gave us the url to their new website: http://www.consumerfinance.gov/

Pretty cool!

And K&Rec'd!

is someone who tells the truth no matter what...if she felt Obama was not porogressive and cared, she would come right out and say it....I know, what she says goes against the DU narrative of Obama so she must be wrong (just like Lawrence O'Donnell last week).

Look into it. Warren has loads of it, as do almost all other Harvard profs.

It has zero to do with intelligence or integrity, both of which she has in vast quantities.

47. Why love someone who can't speak her own mind? Why?
Edited on Mon Jul-18-11 10:06 PM by vaberella
She shouldn't be afraid to speak candidly about the President and clearly. She's criticized the President in the past and the actions that have taken place. She doesn't have to bash to be critical---as so many on DU have said. So she should be able to freely state her opinion, even if critical of her boss. And she's talked about encouraging discussions she's had with the president. Why would she change? Ridiculous.

It would seem to me that you can't handle a positive regard of Obama by someone you think is great and on your side. Since you don't believe Obama is on your side---so then you now marginalize her statements as being "talking points" of sorts.

she replied:

"I want to be clear, the reason I cannot run this agency is because of those people. They've made it perfectly clear they will not let the agency go forward if I'm there, fine. I can step away from this."

IMHO she wanted the job and was not going to publicly fault Obama.

I cannot believe people are now throwing Warren under the bus as weak & scared to speak her mind when THAT IS EXACTLY WHY EVERYONE HERE HAS ALWAYS LOVED HER!! WTF?!?!

don't you get it? If she was trashing the president and saying what a disaster he was, she'd be "speaking her mind." But showing so much support for this president and saying things that make sense to even a 4 year old (that the commission would not even exist without the president and his support) means that she is suddenly unable to speak her mind. Even though she no longer works for the person "silencing" her. :eyes:

You just have to , man. Some of this stuff is just surreal.

He said so during the battle on them and didn't want to vote on them. But the bailouts were in the works since April 2008 or something under Bush and they had to be adhered to, so he said we had to hold up those contracts. Get the facts. Any bank bailout said to be pushed by Obama---is false and created by Repubs...everyone knows this.

It was continuation of promises already made. I don't know what you think you're telling me.

... including that concerning Pres Obama. Her testimonial in that regard is and should be considered truthful and straightforward; there is no better source. And all the lies and shit-stirring perpetrated to convince people otherwise are exposed.

Her exuberance over the CFPB is infectious. She is a hope-monger! I hope she heeds the call to run for the Senate and restore Ted Kennedy's seat back to blue.

46. You realize you're throwing her under the bus. Additionally, you have very little regard for her.
You are stating she has no mind of her own by your claim of her being a "good soldier." She can't think for herself? She can't state her own opinion truthfully? So then why respect her. She's a soldier, repeating talking points. I've been called an Obamabot/Soldier---soshe's in the same.

You're something else. You all are. Good Lord.

48. I'm assuming she's a rational person.
As such, there's no incentive for her to bash the President. It would accomplish nothing. And if she's thinking of running for office she may need him, his contacts, fundraising ability, whatever.

Everyone's had a job they hated, where they disliked their boss etc, but left on good terms because you might need the references or whatever later.

60. That's a round about way to defend your indefensable narrative.
She can be critical and truthful while being supportive. But she seemed to have nothing bad to say in regards to Obama on this front. She is hardly a soldier and I think she would be offended by your statements. I would be anyway.

64. Why do you automatically assume she's only being diplomatic?
It reflects YOUR attitude about the President that you project it onto Warren.

Sounds to me like you simply don't believe she could say what she said and actually MEAN it.

Why is that?

90. I beg to differ
if she wants to get into politics, as appears to be the case, it would be silly to burn bridges with Obama. He can only help her.

94. No issue here to be burning bridges over in the first place.
She's happy, Obama's happy, those praying for a rift between the two, not so much.

Including so many people that this board loves to hold up as some "potential liberal challenger."

Have fun "thinking" your way into THAT denial.

83. Yes, like when
infiltrators like Hamsher call some Dems "the dumbest motherfuckers on the planet" and other Dems back her up.

It's true. We shouldn't be belittling each other. The Republicans are THE enemy here.

And if only more people could see the example set by Dr. Warren rather than belittling HER by assuming she does not or cannot mean what she says.

What did he put a spell on her or something? She can speak out against him if she wants? Why can't you admit that she actually supports him?
