Should face a recall election if they trigger a default. Every one of them.

sure makes the Republicans look weak. They look to someone who has never even run for office, to dictate their agenda as if the home district means nothing. They are so vulnerable on this, I wish the Dems would make a huge issue out of it. They look like children who have overbearing parents.

2. I don't believe that U.S. Congress members can be recalled. |
|
But everyone will have a chance to vote them out of office in November 2012 :)

there were any Democrats who signed any pledges regarding the debt ceiling. I don't think there are any Democrats who have said they will not, under any circumstances, vote to approve the increase. So to which Democrats are you referring?

6. There are no recall provisions for Congresscritters. |
|
Fortunately, representatives have to be re-elected every 2 years.

8. That's not true, the House is recalled every two years by design. |
|
Senators on the other hand... yeah it sucks.

9. But there's no way to recall a representative in the middle of a term |
|
as there is in some states. So you are stuck waiting until the next election.

They remind me of a skit from Sesame Street or the Electric Company, in which one character keeps presenting words while the other keeps attaching the prefix "un-" to them, negating the words. And then laughs about it. These people aren't there to govern. They're there to un-govern, to make sure no one can govern, by negating any such effort. The policies they will support are dedicated to this same principle, by dismantling government. Seems to me that they've all taken office in bad faith, with clear intent to do little more than obstruct and destroy.
I think the irritating Un-Guy got his comeuppance before the skit ended. I fear that won't really happen in the ugly reenactment of the skit which we're seeing.
