Timmy "Badass" Pawlenty Goes After Bachman on Migraines - then takes it back. |
|
http://www.salon.com/news/politics/war_room/2011/07/21/pawlenty_bachmann/index.htmlObviously desperate to get some press attention (despite the fact that more attention he gets, the less people want to vote for him), Pawlenty on Wednesday gingerly attacked Bachmann for her recently disclosed problem with migraines.
"All of the candidates I think are going to have to be able to demonstrate they can do all of the job all of the time," he told reporters after an event in Indianola.
He added: "There's no real time off in that job."
But Pawlenty cannot pull off "mean" convincingly, in part because he cannot pull off most recognizably human emotions and behaviors convincingly. His decision to vaguely go on the offensive lasted less than one day. Later, on Fox, he admitted that Bachmann seems to have her migraines well in control:
"I think it's mostly a sideshow," Pawlenty told FOX News on Wednesday, when asked about the story. "I've observed Congresswoman Bachmann. I've never seen her have a medical condition or impairment that would seem to be a concern."Timmy you da man!

2. I agree - it is the type of gossip, that can never really be pulled back in |
|
However, given the rigors of campaigning, I assume that it will become a non issue if Bachmann never misses an interview or appearance and manages to always look in control. (to the Republicans - to us she will always seem off base). The down side is that where any candidate van have a bad day, any sign of one for Bachmann will revive this concern.
I would not be surprised if it were not used as either a push poll or whisper campaign by one of her opponents in either Iowa or SC. (She is not expected to do well in NH). They will try to do it without it being obvious who is behind it. (This is not all that unusual - per comments from Iowa, someone (maybe the Republicans or maybe one of ours, tried to suggest Kerry was sicker from his cancer than he had said.)

3. The first syllable of his last name should always be pronounced with a yawn. |
