5. Yep, I think it's time to throw that phrase back in their faces.
Well past time, actually.

3. Yep, if its not passed in the House, then use the 14th amendment to pay our bills!

Then, if the house wants to use Obama doing that to try and impeach him, then we should rally to "impeach the impeachers" who want to try and corrupt the system into forcing out those that want to support the constitution and protect our country from financial ruin from criminal hucksters like those in charge of the House want to do now.

7. Then impeach one of the Roberts' Robber Barons Five!

For ruling against the constitution over and over again, and ruling in ways that doesn't support the health of this country. We might have to wait until 2012 to do it, but we can make it an election issue if the country goes down hill if Obama is forced to not pay our bills, and we wind up having our interest rates shoot up and going more in to a full depression.

10. Just like Clinton, Repubs may be can "impeach" him, but they can't "convict" him...
And if Obama stays in office, and the subsequent forcing of us to default on loans leads to financial catastrophe, the public will be anxious to get rid of those in congress that lead this "crusade" at the polls. And many who get elected in will have the mandate of impeaching a Supreme Court that ruled in order to destroy this country then. It will be a time bomb waiting to go off then.

I think its been said that the Supreme Court wouldn't look forward to having to rule on a case like this. They know that it would trap them in a place they don't want to go without many options to survive as well as keep their corporate masters happy.

12. Would there still be a country worth governing if the US goes into
default for 17 months? Can the republic last that long? I am not so sure there would even be elections in November 2012 if we default.

13. Actaully, I bet the Supreme Court would refuse to hear the case
They would cite the "political question" doctrine.

14. Kennedy.
Way too pro-corporate to allow corporations to have to deal with the increased interest rates.

15. I think that's what it's going to come down to.
It'll be a last minute vote. The GOP won't want to be responsible for sending this country off the cliff (again), so they'll just vote on the debt ceiling. There's too little progress and too little time, in my opinion, for anything else to happen.
