5. It was still a massive gamble. He would've signed it had republicans agreed to that

proposal for $4trillion in cuts. That technically is selling out. And he just said that he bent over backwards to get a deal which could be seen by some as kind of spineless. I guess it depends on your perspective.

Ok he took a risk to get Osama. Fine but really what did he have to lose? We shoot Pakistan with missiles all the time and we have troops in Afganistan who probably cross the border covertly. That's not really that big of a risk in retrospect.

Ok he was unknown Senator even though he was the only person of color in the chamber which let's face it made him stand out a little. Not to mention that kick ass speech he gave in 2004. If he'd have lost in 2008 he would've been on the ticket or he could've run again later. That run was good for him in retrospect. It had very little downside.

I'd call this draw because he still has no debt ceiling deal and if we can't get one we're all just as fucked as Greece.
