Norquist's power relied on a certain amount of anonymity - he pulled his strings behind the scenes. Although lots of people knew about him, he wasn't generally known to the broader public.
Now that he's been exposed to a mainstream audience - many of whom are asking, "why is THIS guy running the Republican party and why does he have so much influence?" - he has lost much of his power. Especially since folks can see how unimpressive he is.
I think he's pretty much done, which is a nice consequence of all of this.
