If Gallup polled me I would say "Approve", and I'll vote for Obama in 2012.......
But still extremely disappointed in HCR and the War.

And I agree with Dean.

And I think Olbermann is correct.

It is not illogical to be disappointed in Obama and also want a Democratic president in 2012.

And there will be no other realistic, winnable contenders against Obama.

People here act like if you are disappointed in Obama you will vote GOP. Stupid!

28. Yes but for what party. The Corp-Dems and DLC would never let him win the nomination.
Who owns the party now. Not us, not the grassroots. We are outcasts.

12. Two of the last three sitting Democratic presidents faced a primary challenge
Edited on Fri Dec-18-09 03:55 PM by depakid
One over war, another over health care (and economic policy).

So don't be too certain- a lot can happen over the next several years.

8 years of Nixon and 8 years of Reagan. Anyone that suggests a primary challenger for a sitting president is off their meds.

24.  An effective way to motivate Obama
to do whatever he promised is letting him know that he may and will be replaced with another viable Democratic candidate if he doesn't change his ways. Such as Hillary, for example.

31. I agree. He certainly doesn't give a damn about voters over 55.
Maybe he thinks we'll all be dead in 2012 from losing our health insurance when the premiums triple. If the Republicans were smart they would hammer that fact home every day. They wouldn't even have to lie the way they usually do.

29. At this point, I'd say "disapprove" and "no"
That last "no" being a big, fat lie since I don't have any illusions about another choice popping up. But maybe a sharp drop in the polls will wake Obama up.

34. I'm the same. I would never say "Disapprove" in a national poll.
DU is a different story. It's like being amongst friends. I routinely defend him against GOP'ers, regardless of my feelings about his policies and what I think they will do to the party.
