Forget Anonymous: Evidence Suggests GOP Hacked, Stole 2004 Election
Certainly not news to most, but here's something recent published on the subject:

"A new filing in the King Lincoln Bronzeville v. Blackwell case includes a copy of the Ohio Secretary of State election production system configuration that was in use in Ohio's 2004 presidential election when there was a sudden and unexpected shift in votes for George W. Bush," according to Bob Fitrakis, columnist at http://www.freepress.org and co-counsel in the litigation and investigation.

If you recall, Ohio was the battleground state that provided George Bush with the electoral votes needed to win re-election. Had Senator John Kerry won Ohio's electoral votes, he would have been elected instead.

Evidence from the filing suggests that Republican operatives — including the private computer firms hired to manage the electronic voting data — were compromised.

Fitrakis isn't the only attorney involved in pursuing the truth in this matter. Cliff Arnebeck, the lead attorney in the King Lincoln case, exchanged emails with IT security expert Stephen Spoonamore. He asked Spoonamore whether or not SmarTech had the capability to "input data" and thus alter the results of Ohio's 2004 election. His response sent a chill up my spine.

1. We already know that...
Little late to do anything about it though.

2. It was pretty obvious.
I was 100% sure of it when it happened, as were many here on DU.

Exit polls were changed in the middle of the night. We all knew it was rigged.

3. Similar voting systems, run on 'TRADE SECRET' code, are now locked in, all over the country,
worse than in 2004. New York has now caved. And the entire U.S. voting system is now largely (80%) controlled by ONE, private, far rightwing-connected corporation--ES&S, which bought out Diebold--with virtually no audit/recount controls.

CLEARLY the 2004 election was stolen--with the corporate-run Ohio e-voting system one of the methods used. The evidence is simply overwhelming that this is the case.

But we are in even more danger now. The system is now complete-- and there has been plenty of time to 'improve' it, and develop subtle uses of it (such as this entirely unrepresented fascist yahoo Congress that we've been inflicted with--and of course the juntas in Wisconsin and other places).

It's all now harder to see. And anything that might help (like the exit polls) has been tweaked or removed. And the "liberal" corporate/war profiteers have done their part to impose acceptance of private, corporate vote tabulation, by "yielding" in some states and "allowing" a paper ballot backup (the optiscan systems), but with a miserably inadequate audit (automatic comparison of ballots to machine totals). 99% of the votes are never counted except by a corporate machine. Thus, an illusion of transparent vote counting has been created wherever citizens have kicked up a fuss (like California and New York)--the very places where a movement against these machines could get off the ground.

The upshot: The bad guys can easily--EASILY!--replace Obama and anybody else, and install anyone they want, into any office, and they can, of course, prevent any real representatives of the people from ever making it out of the primaries, if real candidates have not already been barred by needing multi-millions of dollars just to run for office.

This is very, very, VERY bad. It's not just what our corporate/war profiteer rulers have done, in 2002 (Max Cleland, Georgia election and others), in 2003 (California, the bizarre recall--Schwarzenegger), in 2004 (Bush-Cheney, 're-elected' amidst torture and war lies disclosures), in 2006 (should have been a much more anti-war Congress), in 2008 (ditto), and in 2010 (the first all-Diebold Congress plus fascist governors)--it's what they can do next year and thereafter.

This is why Obama is such a weak, compromising dweeb. This is why even the best of them are so bad. They're all scared shitless of these winger nutballs at ES&S, or they are collusive.

It is OUTRAGEOUS that our votes are counted with 'TRADE SECRET' code--code that "we the people" are not permitted to review.

It is OUTRAGEOUS that half the states do NO audit AT ALL.

It is OUTRAGEOUS that the other half are doing only a 1% audit.

'TRADE SECRET' vote counting was instigated by the Anthrax Congress in the same month as the Iraq War Resolution, and eternal war and war profiteering is its purpose.

KUDOS AND LAUREL WREATHS TO BOB FITRAKIS, CLIFF ARNEBECK AND OTHERS WHO HAVE KEPT THIS VITAL ISSUE ALIVE!!!

:applause: :bounce: :applause: :bounce: :applause: :bounce: :applause:

THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Peace :patriot:

4. Didja all notice this about the mysteriously dead Mr Connell?
"The filing also includes the revealing deposition of the late Michael Connell. Connell served as the IT guru for the Bush family and Karl Rove. Connell ran the private IT firm GovTech that created the controversial system that transferred Ohio's vote count late on election night 2004 to a partisan Republican server site in Chattanooga, Tennessee owned by SmarTech. That is when the vote shift happened, not predicted by the exit polls, that led to Bush's unexpected victory. Connell died a month and a half after giving this deposition in a suspicious small plane crash."
