9. In my opinion
Those who don't after seeing what happened last election, and what has happened in Wisconsin, Maine, Florida and many other states, aren't really living in reality! If republicans keep the house, take the senate and the WH, this country will never be the same, and those who stay home and pout because they allow the right wing smear machine to dictate the old fear and smear crap to them need their heads examined, but they won't be able to get it done because only the rich will be able to afford health care, higher education, and everything else!

Not voting is not an option!

14. We'll still be in Afghanistan, we'll still
be bailing out bankers, we'll still be giving tax cuts to the top 1%, unemployment will still be high, rendition will still continue, we'll still bomb nations in the Middle East...

Yes, the few good things that Obama did probably wouldn't have happened, but the list above is appalling.

Peace,
Tex Shelters

13. I don't know why anyone would
unrec this, but I won't recommend this for a few reasons.

1. It's just copying a link and not sharing what they feel is important in the list. Little to NO effort was put into posting this.

2. I've seen this kind of list before, so there's nothing new here.

3. It's an act of defensiveness. I know Obama's done some good, and he's agreed with corporations and Republicans on too many issues for my taste.

Why not see the good, the bad and the ugly of Obama's term instead of being in denial about the good or the bad?

Peace,
Tex Shelters

25. He has done many good things.
He still has things he should do, but is not even through his first term yet! People can be so impatient!

Sorry, read your post wrong.

Thought your subject line read: Being against the President is *not* acceptable.

Guess I can't read.

15. It's sad that in a Democracy you want us to be lock
step with Obama, and that our free choice is "unacceptable". That is sad and far to Republican for me.

The President is expanding the wars, not addressing jobs, extending tax cuts for the top 1%, and so on.

Unlike Republicans, I support Obama but have lots of problems with his policies.

Peace,
Tex Shelters

11. "There are none so blind as those who will not see."
It's sad that so many people ignore all of the PROGRESSIVE achievements that Obama has accomplished and automatically assume the worse. And when reality doesn't match their victimhood, they'll twist the facts.

16. Wow, did Obama end the wars when I wasn't looking?
and did he help create a jobs program, and did I dream that he helped extend the Bush tax cuts, and was that the Onion I read about the Afghan surge double the troops and the increase in drone attacks since Obama has been President.

Talk about your denial.

Yes, Obama has done some good things, but you act as if he automatically should get our support no matter what.

Peace,
Tex Shelters

12. Funny that this needed to be posted
it really would be helpful to list some you like when you post instead of just posting the link.

Certainly, I'm disappointed, but he's not all bad and he's better than any current Republican would possibly have been.

Peace,
Tex Shelters

17. Maybe lists like this buy some peoples silence...
But this system will only work for the people if they never stop pushing for the best outcome on every issue. Silent unquestioning faith in a president does the country a disservice, no matter the president.

23. I'm not sure I see the point of lists like this.
No one can possibly examine all of the many items on the list in detail. And when I do examine specific items on a list like this, sometimes I find that I am against what is listed as an achievement, sometimes I find that the achievement is absurdly inflated, and sometimes I think, "Yeah, I am really glad we have Obama instead of McCain." Of course, the list also omits Obama's failures; so it cannot possibly be a complete picture of his record. Personally, I would rather see a detailed defense of one piece of Obama's record than a list of this sort.
