Throwing the GOP a Medicare life-preserver
"When Barack Obama used a press conference late last Friday to once again embrace cuts to Medicare and Social Security as part of a debt ceiling deal, he noted that Nancy Pelosi "sure did not like the plan that we are proposing."

Can you blame her? Forget about whatever philosophical objections she might have to reducing entitlement spending: Obama's posture these past few weeks threatens to wipe out a 2012 campaign strategy that has the potential to deliver significant gains for Pelosi's House Democrats."

3. You are kidding, right?
Go to the White house website and read the transcript. He clearly says it. He calls it modifications and say he does not want to
balance the budget only on the backs of seniors. His strategy to cut these programs is an outreach to low information voters.
He trades our future security to keep himself in office for four more years. How beautiful is that?

Obama will never say directly I want to cut SS, Medicare, and Medicaid. He will say we are saving them. You know we had to
destroy the village in order to save it kind of rhetoric. Politicians often steal from us and tell us they saved us Obama is
no different.

5. Some things are obvious, even in the absence of a direct quote
For example, is there a direct quote from the President stating that DOMA is unconstitutional, and the basis for his change of heart?

4. No life preserver needed. I think he knows that, which is why he has
tuned out "the noise", and indicated several times in his last pc, that the GOP should do the same. ;)
