Leader Reid: "This is likely our last chance to save this nation from default."

Boehner bill bill is DOA. Wants to file cloture on his debt limit bill, which is the only option moving forward to save us from default. Says he can't do this alone, asks Republicans to join him in bipartisan compromise.

1. Another option for Harry: a CLEAN bill to just raise the debt ceiling.

2. At what point do enough of the American people get what the Republican party actually is? I thought
the 8 years of Bush were quite sufficient to turn enough people away from the g.o.p. for good and would turn the tide politically. 2010 proved me wrong (if the elections weren't rigged). Maybe the republicans have to bring us to our knees before enough people will get it. It ain't gonna be nice.

3. He also said "They got what they wanted. They should take their chips and declare victory"
Quite a sad comment on what has happened.
