Obama Campaign Takin’ It To The Tweets - Encouraging #compromise with state-by-state tweets
Gimmicky...but I like it. Keep the heat on.

Obama Campaign Takin’ It To The Tweets
July 29, 2011 12:39 PM

The president earlier today tweeted a message on his campaign account @BarackObama: “The time for putting party first is over. If you want to see a bipartisan #compromise, let Congress know. Call. Email. Tweet. —BO”

(You can tell it’s “from him” because he signed it.)

That was followed by Obama 2012 staffers tweeting:

“You heard the President. So here's what we're doing: throughout the day we'll post the Twitter handles of GOP lawmakers in each state.”

“Tweet at your Republican legislators and urge them to support a bipartisan compromise to the debt crisis.”

Presumably the Obama campaign is going in some kind of alphabetical order (ish) by state since staffers began with Alaska and have moved on to Alabama.

“Alaska voters: Tweet @lisamurkowski and ask her to compromise on a balanced deficit solution.

“Live in AK? Have a Republican representative? Tweet them and ask them to support a bipartisan compromise to deficit reduction.

“AK Republican rep on Twitter: @repdonyoung”…

The campaign’s digital team is spear-heading the campaign.

4. Allow me to respond your very valid question...
He didn't TWEET about PUBLIC OPTION because at the moment we have this issue to deal with and also because the Republican Party is batshit insane. They won't support it or let it get past them without watering it the hell down. The only way to get it past them is to trick them into passing it by disguising it as something they like but leaving a loophole in it so that it can be modified later. I mean hey the Republicans just love their loopholes in laws to death so why not use their very on tactic against them.

Of course the only way to make this actual workout is to vote more Democrats into office and remove the excess Republican party members who are nothing more then dead weight on our backs. The people have to take action if they want a PUBLIC OPTION. The president wants one but he knows that at the moment it isn't doable due to all the people he has deal with on a day by day basis. Give him some real team players to work with and you'll see your PUBLIC OPTION happen.
