The contrast between Barbara Lee and Bernie S. with Obama and the Waffle Dems is startling
Edited on Sat Jul-30-11 09:55 PM by Armstead
Obama, Reid and too many other Dems are coming across like the 98-pound weaklings being picked on by the Big Bad GOP Bullies. "Wah! Those mean old Republicans won't give us anything. We gave them our lunch and they still pick on us and they won't compromise."

On the other hand, Bernie Sanders and Rep. Barbara Lee came out swinging on MSNBC just now. Pissed at what both the Waffle Democrats and Republicans are doing to the middle class and the poor.

Bernie said the question is not whether the Democrats should work out the compromises but "the real question is should they?" And as Rep. Lee said this is "disgusting and immoral"

Both said Obama should end this foolishness and do the 14th Amendment option and immediately work on jobs.

It's a damn shame that the Wafflers have much more sway in the Democratic party than the fighters. With more like Barbara and Bernie (an honorary Democrat) the Teabaggers and the Corporate GOP would not have been allowed to hijack the national agenda.

3. They're being good soldiers, going with lesser of evils to stave off disaster
But in your universe, I know that means they are really enthusiastic.

She specifically mentioned the words "immoral" and "disgusting" and urged Obama to do something different.
