If President Obama kicked Reid and Democrats out of the process and when straight to dealing with McConnell, why didn't he gut Social Security and Medicare?

Isn't that what he wanted?

6. McConnell kicked them out in this last phase & apparently Obama

didn't resist. This disturbs me.

I saw a clip on CNN late last nite I'd never seen before: McConnell saying if he brought the Prez around, the Dems would fall in line.
