7. No thanks.
Baseball or Politics - Will's a pompous, self-important, pontificating windbag.

13. The point is that he said that a few months ago.
And now only the GOP nuts are in contention.

And YES, between the President and this crop of crazies, anyone with a few brain cells rubbing together will be able to tell the difference.

18. It's been pretty easy
to tell the difference regarding Obama's supreme court picks. They've been voting reliably liberal...OTOH

Mmmmm...bacon

2. LMFAO - George Will is such a useless stool sample
and that is what he is - he samples the bile coming out of the right all week and then make it prettier with a few fancy words and then is allowed on TV to talk about "intellectual honesty"

Lawrence O'Donnell also predicted that Pawlenty would get the nomination.

Just being fair and objective.....

9. Not even three months ago ...
I NEVER considered either Daniels or Pawlenty serious contenders ...

It has been Romney all along, and once Perry hit my radar, he was the only guy who is Romney's level ...

Never saw T-Paw getting even close, and Bachman would make an insurgent push (minus Perry) but fall short.

George Will has made a career out of looking smart (geeky) and acting smart (using big words), but the substance has NEVER been there with him.

11. He likes Mitch because he reminds him of himself
It won't happen. 2012 is likely out and in 2016 he'll be 67.

22. Mitch Daniels hasn't shown a lot of leadership handling the stage collapse at the Indiana State Fair
Basically blamed it on GAWD. No human error involved. "No one could have predicted, etc., etc."
I guess old Mitch hasn't heard about building codes and disaster preparedness.

12. Looking good, Mr. Will.

Obviously his GOP guesses were the sanest of the lot.

I wonder what he REALLY thinks of what's left?

17. Well, theoretically, any of those three are still possible.
If the GOP convention is deadlocked and none of the declared candidates can get a majority of delegates, they could turn to anyone and draft them and that includes both Pawlenty and Daniels and anyone else including Jeb Bush. The chances of that happening are very remote, and we haven't had a major party convention draft a candidate in decades, but as I said, it is theoretically possible.

I think the last time that happened was when the Republicans nominated Harding in 1920. In 1952 the Democrats nominated Adlai Stevenson on the third ballot. This might or might not be considered a bona fide draft since Stevenson was not a declared canddiate but it was well known that he was an unofficial candidate going into the convention.

21. Will is such a nitwit. He wrote a column over the weekend basically blaming Kennedy for the Berlin
Wall. I guess he missed the part about the Berlin Blockade and Airlift in 1948 which was the real beginning of the process that ended with the building of the Berlin Wall in 1961.

23. Already wrong since Pawly dropped out
What is wrong with conservatives that they make these dogmatic statements? No one can predict the future. Right wingers remain arrogant no matter how many times they are proven wrong. They believe they can make something so by repeating it over and over.
