My question is where the FUCK was all these big mouths during the the November Congressional election a lot of them sat out and didn't vote and I'm talking about mostly also my African American brothers and sisters as a result of not voting we have these CRAZIES in Congress. The President can't do this on his own he needs to have the support of the Progressives and everybody else that supports the President. We should be out in force like the tea fuckers THAT'S MY TAKE ON ALL THIS

10. Yes *WE* CAN!! Not, "YES *ONE MAN* CAN!" It's no excuse! Not voting |
|
Edited on Thu Sep-01-11 12:18 PM by Liberal_Stalwart71
will NEVER be an excuse in my book, not when my ancestors died to give me and others that right!
And still...
Obama WAS NOT on the ballot. You should have voted in your local and state elections.
The result?
A bunch of crazy-ass baggers and Rethugs dominating three-fourths of ALL state legislatures!
That is unacceptable!!!!

the MSM isn't covering it, but Think Progress and others are posting videos of people giving hell to GOP reps at town halls, and protesting Boehner at his house and his golf course. Unions are behind a lot of it.

The art of compromise also means learning how to say no on occasion. Our president seems to have missed that lesson.

9. You got it! I agree, too, that my black and brown brothers and sisters simply did not |
|
vote in the kinds of numbers that we need.
You and I are of the minority opinion, though, so look out for the flames.

Now can I complain that he seems like a weakling? That I can't think of even one issue he's willing to go to the mat for?

13. Many of the most vocal critics |
|
of the President sent money to Democratic candidates and encouraged voters to support Democrats.
I think your "take" is all wrong.
Of course many voters felt disenfranchised, Obama had just betrayed his CENTRAL campaign promise to end the Bush tax cuts. That is why our social safety net is in jeopardy right now. Yet we still got out and voted.

It is just bashing for the sake of bashing. They have no plan or description of this "fight." A President does not have to fight with people. In fact that could be counterproductive.
There is nothing to fight with a Republican house. Fighting with them won't make them pass anything. They cannot be forced, nor should they be.

I'm still waiting for the list of 60 Senators who supported, and would vote for, the Public Option. Every day, I read how Obama betrayed someone because he promised them the PO.
Note: the TeaTards will run for their local school boards to make sure that Creationism is taught in their public schools. It doesn't even matter to them (or slow them down) that the Courts have ruled against both the teaching of Creationism and Intelligent Design!
That's how determined the Republicans are to promote their ideology. How many Ds are running for SBs to support the teaching of Evolution or Science, in general?

|
The problem is we have chunks of democrats who are too busy crying & thinking of reasons to be mad rather than hunkering down & going to battle...Republican voters NEVER TURN AGAINST THEIR PRESIDENT EVER but we make it into a sport where everyone tries hard to out bash Obama just to see their BASH THREAD on the front page. SAD!

We don't work for him. He works for us. And if he fights, more will vote for him. If he doesn't, then he shouldn't expect our vote.
