"I'll just point out that since the recession officially ended, the American economy has lost nearly 600,000 government jobs. Any way you slice it, that's a significant drag on recovery."

3. Private sector job growth 15 months in a row
Interesting isn't it... since the Republicans took 2/3's or more of the state houses.. goverment hiring and goverment jobs have been shed like a snake skin.

The result is a continuing total depressed jobs picture.

It is the republicans who shout and scream about the private sector hiring.. when they did almost ZERO hiring during the bush years..

5. IF we had a "liberal media"
they would be screaming this ...

IF we had even an actual "media" in the context of "journalists" this would be noted as the statement of fact it is ...

We have seen a slight net growth of jobs in the sainted "private sector" while we have seen a major cut in "government jobs."

The same side that is screaming about jobs and employment is the same side responsible for the cuts in government jobs.

7. Yep ...
I do my part, but ...

Just tough knowing that the deck is stacked so much against simple reality ...

And, yeah, you get an even go with MSNBC at times.

4. Vox populi, vox Dei.
People don't like the idea of government jobs, and vote against them whenever they become an issue.

If you're old enough to remember an election fought and won on increasing the number of people who work for the government, you're old enough to remember Glenn Miller.

The disconnect between that, and employment, is the issue.
