I just got back from downtown Detroit I was one of the fortunate folks to get a spot behind the President this afternoon. I've watched alot of his speeches, but to be there in person and so close it was simply amazing that is all I can say.

Honestly, so glad you got to be there. It was a real stemwinder of a speech, and to watch him there with that working crowd cheering him on---well, it erased much of the depressing sense of negativity and hyperbole I see after scanning this board most days. I read, "labor bailing on Obama big time," and then I see Trumka there by his side, and I wonder sometimes why I believe half this drivel.
It was an eloquent, passionate speech, and I look forward to more of them. Go, Detroit (your baseball team, too, even though they slaughtered our White Sox 18-2!).
