They've been bad enough in the past, but they're much worse now. To have them back in office is disaster.
Unfortunately, with only two major parties, they will get back in there sooner or later. That thought really makes me wish I could move to Canada or some other English-speaking country which is still comparatively sane. Sigh.
But we have to make sure that doesn't happen soon! They force us to clean up their messes, so we need to clean them up as well as possible and make people understand that they intentionally break things and we build things. We need to counter the "both parties are equally bad" belief which they've tried so hard to foster in voters. We need to get our act together and stop fighting among ourselves so much.

much of the work will be in undermining the President, as it has always been.
It is sad, but I have accepted that this is how it will always be.... that there are too many here who aren't truly interesting in helping the people who have been suffering and will suffer so much more if Republicans gain control of everything. They try to feign that people are their overriding concern, but that isn't really the case. Sad, to have to fight them and the Republicans at the same time, but that's just a fact of what will have to be done. They will distract us and sap our energy with posts full of oversimplification, conspiracy theories, generalizations, exaggerations, and just plain ol' lies to discourage us, because our success is not their goal.... and that's really eerily similar to the goals of the Rs. :(
