I just read it. That is probably more than any Congress critter will ever do. Let's post the actual text, and analyze and discus it section by section. That might be useful.

4. It's good as far as I can tell. |

My impressions:
I like the Buy American provisions though I see some wiggle room for sneaky companies in some of the exemptions. There seems to be oversight on that, though, which is good.
I like that there isn't anything in there about the proposed free trade agreements. I sincerely hope the WH abandons that avenue.
I like incentives to employ vets, though it's a shitty thing that such incentives are apparently necessary. Nice patriotism, corporations.
I like funds to school districts to prevent layoffs. I don't like that it also applies to private schools.
I like funds to keep first responders from being laid off.
I like what looks like a big investment in both infrastructure and in light rail, to the tune of $4B in grants for the latter.
This is terrifying: "according to the American Society of Civil Engineers, the current condition of the infrastructure in the United States earns a grade point average of D, and an estimated $2,200,000,000,000 investment is needed over the next 5 years to bring American infrastructure up to adequate condition"
I scrolled pretty quickly through the chunk about wireless spectrums being re-allocated and auctioned. Is this infrastructure work?
I like the entension of unemployment benefits.
The Reemployment NOW and Bridge programs looks pretty good. I trust Secretary Solis to run this well. I like the protection of existing employees in companies participating.
I like the incentives offered to hire the long-term unemployed.
I like repealing oil subsidies and instead subsidizing low-income community employment programs.
I'm out of my league with tax talk, but I like anything that talks about limiting deductions for people making over $250,000.
And, uh, I'd highly recommend starting at page 159, where it summarizes most of the material. That should be in the front! Lol.
